Bill Cosby, the American stand up comedian and actor, will be sentenced on Monday September 24, and prosecutors want him locked up immediately after his sentencing, TMZ reports.

The 81-year-old was convicted back in April and is facing at least 30 years in prison for aggravated sexual assault on Andrea Constand.

Cosby would have been sent to prison shortly after the verdict in April, but was released on $1 million bail with strict conditions that he should remain at home till his sentencing. He is expected to be sentenced on Monday, September 24.

Cosby’s legal team could ask the judge to let the 81-year-old remain free on bail while they appeal the conviction, which could take years.
