Jennifer Lopez sued by photographer for posting a picture of herself on Instagram

Jennifer Lopez is the latest celebrity to be sued for posting a picture of herself on Instagram!

According to court documents, a professional photographer, Michael Stewart, claims he took the pic above of Jennifer Lopez earlier this year while she was walking through New York City.

Michael claims that he then licensed the photo to the Daily Mail for an article that they put on their website in June of 2018. He says JLO then posted the pic on her own personal Instagram without permission. Michael Stewart claims to be the owner of the photograph and says he registered it with the United States Copyright Office.

He is now suing Jennifer and her production company, Nuyorican Productions, for copyright infringement. That means he wants all profits she made from the photo, if any, or up to $150k in damages.

In the Instagram post below, Stewart shows off one of the pictures he took of J Lo. The actress can be seen wearing the same outfit in her Instagram story.

Unfortunately, JLO is not alone, there is a long list of celebs who have also been targeted for the same issue, including, Odell Beckham Jr., Jessica Simpson, Gigi Hadid, Jenifer Lawrence, Khloe Kardashian and more!

Weird, right? You can’t even post your own picture!
