Tragedy befell Nigerian Air force on Saturday at Barma, Borno State Nigeria when helicopter blade chopped off the head of a co-pilot who was one of the Air force officers fighting Boko Haram in the area. The late air marshall is only identified as Umar.
An eyewitness of the tragic incident, told newsmen that it happened at about 4pm on Saturday when the helicopter developed a fault. The deceased, who was the co-pilot, had gone to the pick his bags and on his way back passed through the side of the rotor which was functioning. “Immediately his head was chopped off”, an eyewitness said.
