The ZESA boss has finally been jailed. Christopher Mundembe who reported bedded an MSU attachment student and also sexually harassed another female student who said NO to him has been jailed 10 months.

Mundembe was slapped with a 10-month jail by Chinhoyi Magistrate Mrs Christine Nyandoro before suspending four on condition that he does not perform a similar offence within five years.

Mrs Christine Nyandoro said the sentence should serve as a stern warning to fellow abusers.

According to reports, trouble started on March 8, 2019 at around lunch time Mundembe a Region Human Resources Manager invited a female student who was doing internship to his office over the phone. When the girl arrived, Mundembe reportedly asked her to hug him and she refused.

Mundembe, a married man, then allegedly stood and fondled the girl’s breasts and buttocks.
