Gossip news website, TMZ on Friday broke the news that through “amicable resolution”, the $20 million herpes lawsuit against R&B singer, Usher Raymond, has been dismissed.

According to TMZ, court documents revealed that Usher’s accuser, Laura Helm, filed court documents to dismiss her suit earlier this week because she and the singer have “reached an amicable resolution.”

TMZ also reported that they reached out to attorneys for both sides, and they only repeat that word .. “amicable.”

The dismissal was said to have been filed with prejudice which means it can’t be refiled since there was a financial settlement.

Laura Helm had in 2017 sued the singer, claiming he exposed her to the virus when they had unprotected sex. Initially, she sued for $10 million, but increased it to $20 million for emotional harm and punitive damages.

After few months, Laura filed to dismiss the case for technical reasons, then she refiled it in 2018.  With an “amicable resolution” now in place, the case has now been closed and can’t be reopened.
