Love him or hate him, O.J Simpson has friends and haters in equal proportion. Internet is full of stories about him both real and fake.

O.J. Simpson who was released from prison October 1, 2017 for armed robbery and kidnapping, joined twitter first time in life on June 14, 2019, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson.

O.J Simpson’s ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, were brutally killed on Thursday, June 13, 1994 when they were stabbed outside Simpson’s Los Angeles home.

Soon after the murder, the former NFL player Simpson became the prime suspect in the murder investigation which later became an international phenomenon dubbed the trial of a century. In October 1995, Simpson was found not guilty.

While Simpson avoided prison in the murder trial, he was convicted in 2007 on armed robbery and kidnapping charges. Simpson was sentenced to 33 years in prison, nine years minimum without parole.

He was released on October 1, 2017

In the early hours of Friday June 14, 2019, O.J Simpson created his first twitter account under the username @TheRealOJ32  – referencing the jersey number he wore when he was NFL player.

Though there are many fake O.J Simpson’s twitter accounts, the real O.J Simpson,71, wrote on his twitter bio page;

“If you don’t see it here, I didn’t say it,” the bio on the page reads, with his location as Las Vegas, Nevada.

He then tweeted a video and pinned it;

“Hey Twitter world, this is yours truly and I’m coming soon to Twitter,” Simpson said in the video, which has already been viewed more than one million times. “You get to read all my thoughts and opinions on just about everything.”

In less than two days after creating the account, TheRealOJ32 Simpson got more than 530,000 followers!

“Thanks to all my new followers. Love learning how to use Twitter.”

“This should be a lot of fun. I’ve got a little getting even to do,” he said. “So God bless, take care,” he tweeted.
