Albert Passavanti and his family were hanging out by the poolside in Palm Beach County, Florida on Sunday when his one-year-old son Rocco walked away toward the edge of the pool to get an inflatable ball but suddenly tumbled into the pool.
Upon catching sight of him, Albert made a quick decision and performed a ‘Superman jump’ over a fence and into the swimming pool to save the child from drowning.
The incident which happened on Sunday was captured by CCTV. Albert Passavanti says paternal instinct took over him when he realized his boy had slipped under the waters.
“The second you see it; you get Superman strength and just have to go for it, whatever you got to do,” he told CNN affiliate WPTV. “It didn’t even cross my mind to go around. It was point A to point B.”
