A Nigerian Police officer has cried out for help after he was allegedly defrauded of huge amount of money online by internet fraudsters popularly called “Yahoo boys” in Nigeria.

As can be seen on the video, the policeman claimed that the scammer used the name of Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, to operate.

According to the officer, his wife met someone online who claimed to work with a company owned by Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo. He said that while they were chatting, the scammer promised to give her N950,000 ($2,600) as a gift from the Politician.

According to him, when the scammer demanded his wife’s account details, his wife sent his (the officer) details. The officer said that he has been receiving numerous debit alerts since then.

The officer also said that he has reported the matter to the Federal Special Anti-robbery Squad (F-SARS), and that they are currently investigating it.

This story by the officer is just weird. Why should his wife send her husband’s account details to strangers? What do y’all say?
