Authorities are looking for a job seeker who they say shot the owner of Watts recycling company, Abc7 reported.
The incident occurred about 5:10 a.m. Aug. 12 along the 1700 block of East 111th Street between Wilmington and Compton avenues, Los Angeles Police Department said.
According to the report, the man went into the business looking for a job, but employees told him to come back another time because they weren’t hiring. The suspect “eventually located and contacted” the owner who also said they weren’t hiring, police said.
He took out a gun and shot several times striking the business owner in the arm, investigators said. The business owner was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The gunman remains at large as at the time of this report. He was described as being between 25 and 35 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds, according to KTLA news.
