Ontario Police say they arrested the convicted drunk driver after he drove away from court – five minutes after a judge ordered him not to drive for a year.
Investigators said that an officer was in the courthouse in Orangeville, Ontario., for an unrelated matter when he witnessed the judge deliver her sentence to the man. Few minutes after, the man got into his car and drove off, according to the report.
The 35-year-old man from Mississauga, Ontario Canada was arrested and charged with operation while prohibited.
His vehicle was reportedly impounded for 45 days. His next court hearing is Sept. 30, according to the report.
