A Vegas man was arrested on Saturday after he climbed onto the wing of an Alaska Airlines plane at the Las Vegas airport.
The Alaska Flight 1367 from Las Vegas to Portland was preparing for takeoff from McCarran International Airport at 12.30pm when the pilot noticed a person coming toward the aircraft and notified the control tower, Alaska Airlines said in a statement.
The video shot by various passengers shows the unidentified man sitting and walking on the wing. As police officers approach him, he removes his socks and shoes and tries to climb the Boeing 737’s winglet, but slid off and was immediately swarmed by police. CNN reported that he was taken to a medical facility.
The Alaska Airlines flight then departed for Portland, Ore, after inspection, local ABC affiliate KTNV reported.
